I am honored to have two paintings accepted for Lyme Art Association’s 103rd annual Elected Artist exhibition on view September 26 – September 5, 2024.

Exhibition: July 26 – September 5, 2024
Opening Reception & Awards: Friday, August 2 from 5 – 7 pm

Location: Lyme Art Association | 90 Lyme StreetOld Lyme, CT06371 USA

Excerpt from Show Catalog: “Lyme Art Association Elected Artists are our most accomplished artists – the best of the best, and the torch-bearers for the American representational tradition. They follow directly in the footsteps of the Lyme Art Colony artists who hung their Tonalist and Impressionist works on the walls of the Old Lyme library in 1902.”

The 103rd exhibition continues this tradition of celebrating the artistry of our Elected Artists, who have submitted their best work for this annual retrospective of art that showcases the vast variety of styles and mediums our Elected Artists.

I am thrilled for the opportunity to be back at Lyme Art Association’s historic gallery space and have work exhibited alongside such an impressive group of artists. You can learn about the Association’s rich history and connection with the Lyme Art Colony and Florence Griswold by exploring the fabulous exhibit at the Florence Griswold Museum celebrating our centennial.

Incorporated in 1914, the Lyme Art Association continues the tradition of presenting fine art exhibitions and sales by its artist members in the historic gallery. Exhibitions of Lyme Impressionist paintings began in 1902 and were held every summer in the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library in Old Lyme until August 6, 1921, when the present Lyme Art Association gallery opened.
